• Hi, can anyone please help me
I have problem with blogger importer
when I import the xml file it only show ‘submit’ without ‘assign author’ message
or other thing, and then ‘all done. have fun!’
and when I check the post section, none of my blogger post got transfer.
the file is only 10 MB, while the maximum size is 512 MB
and strangely the file that I upload somehow end up in the media library with added _.txt at the back.
I look at the other post experiencing the same thing, some say to use the plugin blogger importer extended, but it only free for 20 posts
other say to split the xml file, I tried that but it still doesn’t work for me and it still end up in the media library (but I’m not sure I split the file correctly)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You’re using the Blogger Importer plugin? Sadly, it’s page in the WP repository now has this message:

This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

and its support forum doesn’t appear to be active.

WP is very fussy about the XML format that it’ll successfully import. You might try creating a model import file by using the WP exporter tool from an existing WP site. This file can certainly be successfully imported into another site. Compare its XML structure with that from the Blogger Importer. Modify as needed to get the structures to match.

Might be easier said then done, but I’ve no other suggestions. There’s a small chance some minor change could bring your file into compliance, so it’s at least worth taking a look to see what would be involved.

Thank you for the reply and suggestion
I’m not tech-savvy at all, even creating blog on wordpress feel overwhelming for me.
For now I’ll just keep both sites and make post to say I moved to a new blog, and hopefully it will attract traffics to the new site.
