    Hello,

I used your plugin to export buddypress user to my new buddyboss website.
Import/export works perfectly but I found a problem with user imported :
If i want add user imported in Buddyboss group i have a “error message” user can’t be added in group with back office administrator (But if a new user create account in my website I can add this user in specific Buddyboss group..) I think there is a problem with import user. Have you an idea ?

    Thanks a lot

    @stourbier,

It seems this is a problem from your csv, you have to take care about how you specify it:
    bp_group using slugs
    bp_group_id using group id

The first import i use bp_group_id to add user in group automaticaly. All works.

But now user import can’t added manually in group with “back office administrator”.
I tried to import user with only WordPress field (without extra_field buddypress, just email, username, nickname, name and surname), user is correctly imported (without extra field group etc..) but user can’t added manually after that in buddyboss group..
I created the same user with same field with “back office user” and this user can be added in Buddyboss Group.

I think there is a problem with our import plugin ? May be a link or somethink like that

    Thanks a lot

    @stourbier,

No, I don’t think so. You can try to deactivate our plugin to check if the problem is here or not.

    Hello,

Problem is’nt solved with deactivate plugin. I think there is a problem when user is imported by your plugin (some link or relation isn’t created).

I reactivate your plugin. I create CSV file with this field and “import” :
    user_login user_email user_nicename
    user_import [email protected] user import

User “user_import” is correctly created with import and available in users list.

I come back in “Buddyboss / Groups” in back office and choose the group and try to add : “user_import” . I have this error message :

    The group was successfully updated.
The following user could not be added to the group: user_import

I delete the user “user_import” and create manually the same user in back office “account”.

I come back in “Buddyboss / Groups” in back office and choose the group and try to add : “user_import”

    The group was successfully updated.
The following users have been successfully added to the group: user_import

    How explain this problem ?

    Many thanks for your helping

As this is a nonfree plugin/theme I cannot test it.

Talk them. We use the standard WordPress and BuddyPress functions to do all this and it works perfectly in BuddyPress so the problem is not here

I created a ticket in Buddyboss support, i come back to you.
Have you some logs in your application to understand something ?

    (@carazo)

No, the only info is the one you see.

We use standard WordPress functions so it has no sense to duplicate this info.

I have an preprod website with buddyboss theme Do you want try your plugin in this one to understand my problem ?

This is a free plugin. We cannot give personal support. We have no time, sorry.

And yes, this issue is with a premium theme/plugin so they probably should give you support because the problem is out of here.

Ok no problem. If Buddyboss can solve my problem is nice.
I will try your plugin on Buddypress platform.

Anyway, I hope you understand this is a free plugin, you are not paying for this and I answer you in minutes when the problem is not here…
