problem with image linked to attachment page
-
hello there ??
i got a bit of an issue with images and linking them to an attachment page instead of just showing the image in an empty window.
i’m using the newest wordpress 3.2.1 and run a multisite install with the MU domain mapping plugin.
so when i insert an image into a post or page i can set the image to actually have NO link, or just link to the image or link to the page / post itself so i can see the image within the attachment page generated by wordpress.
here’s a link to the sample post ->
and the link on the image, as attachment, looks like this ->
so the /attachment plus image file name /klinikclowns-baeckerei-schiffer-01 just got appended to the URL
whenever i click on the image i don’t get to the attachment page, instead apache throws an 301 error moved permanently
xx.xx.x.x – – [22/Nov/2011:21:00:58 +0100] “GET /pressemitteilungen/baeckermeister-martin-schiffer-unterstuetzt-wuerzburger-klinikclowns-222.html/attachment/klinikclowns-baeckerei-schiffer-01 HTTP/1.1”
301 – “https://klinikclowns.lachtraenen.de/pressemitteilungen/baeckermeister-martin-schiffer-unterstuetzt-wuerzburger-klinikclowns-222.html” “Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0
“and i get redirected to the single image in a blank window ->
https://klinikclowns.lachtraenen.de/files/2011/11/Klinikclowns-Baeckerei-Schiffer-01.jpg
which is actually quite strange as it does work with another site in the same multisite wordpress installation.
see this example, running on the EXACT same wordpress install ->
if i click on the image ->
it’s nicely displayed on the attachment page ??
so … why does it work here and doesn’t work there? is there something wrong with the wordpress rewrite rules stored in the ‘options’ table? can i flush those rules and re-generate again?
or do i just miss something??
any help to fix this would be more than welcome ??
thanks a million & all the best
becki
