Problem with grid columns

Hi I managed to make up a website but I am a very early learner to code
I want to add a slider via a shortcode to show on the Home page that will sit on top of a YouTube video (but with a space in between) I can get it to sit right on top with no space in between. That’s the first problem.
The second is when I insert the shortcode it pushes the icons that sits at the page bottom to be jumbled and not sit in a straight line across the page.
The page is made using grid columns collapse the end of the column finishes with
[/column] and the icon text is below.
