    Hello,

I have problem with two events related to conversion tracking in Google Ads.

I want to track purchase conversion from my Google Ads campaing. Conversion are not being tracked reagrdless correct GTM set up. I have contatc Google Ads support and they come back with below feedback:
“After checking the account with our team, I would like to let you know that below are the checks we performed regarding this inquiry:

    • We were trying to make sure that the tags were working as intended for which I visited the website and tried to perform a test conversion. After filling in random details and converting, I found that the purchase tag gets released.
    • We then checked whether the tags were firing using GTM preview mode and we could see that the “Add to cart” and “buy” tags were firing, however we observed that in preview mode the purchase tag was showing as “still running” instead of firing .

    Interpretation of results:

    • Our recent checks show that the issue occurs because the purchase event has a status of “still running” and is not firing. Unfortunately, we can’t provide more insight into this issue because the trigger used to fire the tag is a “custom event” that our team doesn’t know.
    • I recommend contacting your web developer for further clarification on this matter.

I have also another issue with add to cart conversion tracking:

      I’m seeing duplicate?add_to_cart?events in my?GA4 Debug View.

I have tried to contact Theme developer month ago but didn’t get any feedback

I’m not sure your theme developer is responsible for add to cart functionality. It’s most likely due to your e-commerce plugin. I recommend getting help through that plugin’s dedicated support channel.

FYI, I tried to determine which e-commerce plugin you might be using but your site is causing my browser to report: ERR_INVALID_REDIRECT

Try to narrow down likely candidates for the source of the problem. Deactivate all plugins except what you need to track conversions. As a guess you’d need WooCommerce and the Tag Manager. If the problem persists, the problem is one of these two. Try seeking help in both of their dedicated support channels.

If the problem goes away, restore your other plugins, one at a time, until the problem returns. The last one activated would then be the cause and you can seek help through their support channel.

      Hello,

I have follow setps provided and came to conclusion that Google Listings and Ads plugin was responsible for duplicate add_to_cart event. I will see if deactivation of plugin will help also with purchase conversion tracking issue. Thank you for your time and support.
