    Dear WooCommerce support team,

I am experiencing a problem with the shipping method settings on my WooCommerce store. Despite having free shipping configured for orders over €14, the €6 “Fixed Price” shipping method keeps appearing even when the order subtotal exceeds the minimum required for free shipping. I have performed various tests, even in incognito mode and deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce, without resolving the issue.

Below, I detail the current status of my WordPress installation:

    • WordPress v6.4.3, with regional settings es_ES and timezone UTC+0.
    • Production environment with a total of 560 users.
    • Active theme: Hello Elementor v3.0.1, with no child themes and various features enabled such as woocommerce and other product gallery elements.
    • Active plugins: Elementor, Elementor Pro, WooCommerce v8.6.1, among others related to SEO and security.
    • The server uses Linux with Apache, PHP v8.2.16, and MariaDB for the database.

  • Hey there, @orbitaclick! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

the €6 “Fixed Price” shipping method keeps appearing even when the order subtotal exceeds the minimum required for free shipping.

Just to confirm, do you mean that when the order has the minimum required for free shipping both options (fixed price and free shipping) show, or that free shipping does not show at all?

I checked your site, and saw both options show to me, so I believe you meant the first option, right?

If that’s the case, please note this is expected behavior. If you want to hide other shipping methods when “Free Shipping” is available, you can check our guide on how to do that here.

But if I misunderstood and this is not the issue, please let us know so we can assist you further.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hello! Thank you very much for your quick response and for the clarification provided.

Indeed, the scenario you mention is correct. Both shipping options, the fixed price of 6€ and the free shipping, were appearing even when the order subtotal exceeded the minimum required for free shipping.

Following your advice, I have implemented the recommended solution via a code snippet to hide other shipping methods when “Free Shipping” is available. I have made this adjustment as a code snippet, and then proceeded to save the free shipping and fixed price options again, making sure to review the prices, as well as disable and re-enable these options. After these steps, I have tested under clean conditions and can confirm that it is now working correctly: the 6€ fixed price shipping method is hidden when the order qualifies for free shipping.

I wanted to say a big thank you for your guidance and support! This adjustment has improved the shopping experience on our site, ensuring that our customers clearly receive the most beneficial shipping option for them.
