• I am not technical enough to deal with this problem! I have ended up with Word Press sites by accident and all has gone reasonably well with my steep learning curve so far. However, recently I have found that uploading media files was not possible – I had previously been able to do this perfectly well. Suddenly on this one site (I have four others hosted on the same package – all work normally) I wasn’t able to upload, or edit media files. I had a friend who spend many hours looking into this and he found a fault with the database, which he thought he had corrected. I felt I couldn’t ask him to spend anymore time working on the problem as a favour.
I can now upload a file but not edit it, and I have tried about four different form plugins and none of them work. Even the one that I removed when I was trying to find the culprit. I have compared the plugins installed on my other sites and cannot see anything other than the Ninja Forms which was different. However, removing it and using something else doesn’t work.
    PHP is up to date.
I know this is muddled but I am out of my depth! Any help would be welcome.

What “database fault” did your friend find, and exactly what action was taken to fix it?

That could be a huge step in understanding what you’re dealing with.

Thanks for your response. I asked him what he had done. This is his response.“ in basics your database had lost some of its structure, or had been changed by something/someone, it didn’t have auto increment on some of the tables. I changed that back when I was last looking into it.”
He did a lot of work as a favour, but I can’t ask for more of his time. I am doing this for a charity and I have zero budget!
I think that I may be best starting again and copying the content but I don’t really know how best to do that.
