problem with firefox 1.0

  • anyone have an idea about why this would go wrong in FF1.0?
    i’ve got this in my sidebar menu:

    <img class="alignleft" src="https://domain.com/images/sample_portrait.jpg" alt=""/> Blah, Blah, Blah ...

    for some reason in FireFox 1.0 this image is sent straight to the bottom of the page…
    the css for “alignleft” is:

    img.alignleft {
    padding: 4px;
    margin: 0 7px 2px 0;
    display: inline;
    }

    makes no sense to me…
