  • When you migrate a site, if you didn’t include the plugin and the database from old site properly, then your shares may start at zero.

    The Yoast plugin has nothing to do with share counts, or tracking or managing that.

    Easy to test; turn it off. If your shares are back, then you know it’s a conflict – which is very unlikely.

    Also, you can use the “debug” tool on Facebook to make sure your buttons and OG tags are properly formatted for sharing.

    For certain kinds of tracking you may need a FB app ID, and need to put that into the Yoast SEO settings.

    None of this may be your issue, just some feedback.

    Oh….
    make sure you disable the “remove stop words” feature in Yoast SEO. That might be the culprit.
