• I set up my site with the name rick magazine and then later canned the name to blipmagazine.net. THis is a year ago. Recently rick magazine.net was up for renewal and I didn’t think I’d need it so I let it expire un-renewed.

Now I find on some themes messages like this:

How do I get rid of all references to “rickmagazine” and replace them site-wide with “blipmagazine” which is the real name of the site currently?

I was thinking some kind of search and replace function?

    Thanks,

  • It’s nothing to do with your domain name. You have a bad plugin or theme. Try:
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
