    This is a frustrating bug that refuses to go away no matter what I do.

    To get a bit technical, it happens when the AJAX response isn’t in an expected format, for example if a PHP error occurs or something like that.

    This is usually caused by your server running out of memory while trying to resize an image, or something like that.

    If you know how, you can use your browser’s developer tools to inspect the AJAX response but that’s a bit technical to do.

    Alternatively you can look through your server’s error_log to see if you can find the error in there.

    I’ve been working on a rewrite of the plugin for a while now that should hopefully be a bit more robust when it comes to getting unexpected replies from the server.
