Problem with Elementor & WPML on product pages

Hi,
the plugin causes problems, when Elementor is used on the product page. Elementor has to be turned into safe mode to edit the product page.
I use Premmerce Product Permalink Manager for WooCommerce to change the product page slug, and I take out the base (this has actually its own problem if other CPT have the same slug). But for now, it would be great to edit product pages without having to go into safe mode.
With turning plugins off and on again, the error seems to come from the combination of PPMfWC, Elementor and WPML.
WPML is set to use folders for language with no folder for the base language, but currently, we are only using the base language and hiding the other language.
WPML has a post on the issue and say you were contacted you have to do something on this issue: https://wpml.org/errata/premmerce-permalink-manager-using-product-slug-for-product-permalink-works-only-on-default-language/ with me, this does not even work with the base language, even if I try their proposed fix.
Maybe related: when saving the WC products pages, it sometimes is saved with the “-2” appended to the slug. Not good either.
