    Hi all,

I have strange problem with duplicated FAQ pages. I did add frequently asked question to my service page. And did add Json script for the questions.

However I noticed that there is automatically created another FAQ page which has not the questions but two of the H2 (which are questions but are not included in the Json).

The issue is that this 2 pages are now duplicate to another.

I am using yoast (free). Yesterday I tried to deactivate Yoast and the automatically generated FAQ page disappeared. However I tried today to deactivate Yoast but this time both pages stayed.

Any idea how to fix this issue?

  • Hi @kirchev,

Yoast plugin doesn’t create FAQ pages; the plugins handle a FAQ block that includes a FAQ block that you can add to your content. I think you should check if another plugin or theme is creating this FAQ page.

    Hey @kirchev,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    What Fellyph said is correct.

“I noticed that there is automatically created another FAQ page”

Yoast SEO does not create pages on your site. So please check if they are listed in your page list and if so, delete the one you don’t want to exist. If it is not listed, another plugin is most likely creating it dynamically. In that case, have a look at your plugins.

    Hi,

Yes, I do know that yoast does not create pages automatically, however this might be the case here ??

    Hey @kirchev,

    Thank you for your reply.

Can you share the 2 URLs to those pages so we can have a look?

    Hi Jeroen,

Thank you for the follow up.

The URL is one, but is doubled (as same one)

Unfortunately I am not able to upload picture, however this is the issue.

This one https://floorsandingandpolishing.co.uk/stone-polishing/ has shown as duplicated FAQ page in google search console (ei shown twice same one). And when checked here: https://validator.schema.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Ffloorsandingandpolishing.co.uk%2Fstone-polishing%2F (please look at FAQ page result) You will notice two different FAQ elements. One of them (the short one) for some reason was created automatically. I disabled Yoast and the automatically created page dissipated.

That is why I think that free Yoast plug in may have something to do with it.

    Hello @kirchev

Thanks for sharing more details as it provided some more context. You can also use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

Currently, Yoast SEO is not installed on your site, but you still have duplicate FAQ page schema in the rich result test. I can confirm that your FAQ page was not created with the Yoast SEO FAQ block.

It looks like the duplicate schema is from the JSON script and WP Bakery. Questions from the script starts from the question, Is stone polishing messy? While the one from WP Bakery is the H1 tag, How long does stone floors last

So you’d want to take a closer look at both.
