Hi! Thank you for the last update, packed with new features and fixes. Unfortunately, I’m unable to set up all the new date field’s features, such as calendar start or finish date, range restriction… For example, if I try to limit the start day to “Today”, the outcome is just as before, i.e, you’re able to select any past date.

I’ve tried disabling my plugins for a plugin conflict test with no results. I’ve cleared the site cache, the browser cache… Nothing. I’ve installed Forminator on a fresh WP installation and I’m still unable to make it work. The browser’s console shows no error, too. Any ideas?

    Hello there @codimex

I just tested that with latest v.1.13.3 and I couldn’t replicate in a clean state (no other plugins, using default theme).

As you already checked your plugins for a conflict, can you get a DB backup and try to switch themes as well? Use a default one like TwentyTwenty.

If that makes no difference, I wonder if it has to do with the form settings, so please export your form and share it here with us (you can use a service like Dropbox and post the shareable link here instead).

Hi, Dimitris! Thank you for testing out this for me. I’m using Astra theme, which is a reliable one, but tried switching to Twenty Twenty as you suggested me and still no luck on this.

I’ve uploaded the exported form here. I really appreciate if you could play around a little bit with it (it’s a three-page form; the datepicker is in the second page).

BTW, I’m using PHP 7.3, just in case it’s relevant. I also tried to ajaxify the loading of the form and prevent caching that page, but no luck at all.

Thank you and have a nice weekend!

    Hi @codimex

    Thank you for the link.

I requested access using my WPMU DEV email, could you please grant access to the file and we can import and test the form?

Let us know when the access was granted.

Hi! Sorry! I forgot opening the privacy for everyone having the link. :”( It’s open now. You should be able to access to it.

    Hi @codimex

Thanks for making the form available!

I have tested it on my own setup and while it does allow selection of the date prior to “start date” configured it doesn’t allow form submission in last step, returning an error.

I understand this might be a bit confusing as one would expect immediate validation but just to make sure – can you confirm if it works for you the same way as for me or if it doesn’t validate it at all and on your end it actually allows form submission anyway?

    Best regards,
    Adam

OH! I see your point. And you’re right. The form returns an error if you select a restricted date. This is indeed confusing, because I expected that the restricted dates would be greyed out and unselectable, as, in fact, happily happens when you restrict a date range.

Therefore, the request would be: could it be possible to add this feature, greying and making unselectable the restricted dates as set in the “limits” tab? If I wasn’t able to realize about the error, I can’t expect my users to realize about it! (Imagine I set an offset of 4 days. The user wouldn’t understand why is the form returning an error) The amazing improvements you’ve done in the last update really deserves it.

Thank you Dimitris, Patrick, Adam and all the WPMU team.

    Hi @codimex

I hope you are doing well.

I’m happy to hear we could find the cause of the problem.

I sent this request to our developers and designers for further discussion, I hope we can improve it soon.

I’m making this ticket as resolved, however, feel free to ping us if you need any further help.

    Hi @codimex

I hope you are doing well.

I received an update from our Developers.

It seems there is a bug on the feature, and it stops to work as expected when using the date formats:

    d-m-Y
    d/m/Y
    d.m.Y

Could you please try to modify the Date format on the DatePicker option and check if you will get the field working as expected?

    Hi again, Patrick.

BINGO! I confirm that bug, too. d-m-Y, d/m/Y and d.m.Y date formats do not reflect restricted date as set in the limits tab, whereas the rest of the date formats do. It would be awesome to have this fixed, since my latin audiences are more used to those date formats.

Thank you for your amazing support, and your follow-up of the issue. Hope this gets solved soon!

Hi! Any plans to fix this?

    Hi @codimex,

I’m afraid, the issue is still being investigated by our Forminator team and can confirm it’s being worked upon.

At the moment, I’m afraid there isn’t any exact ETA that I could provide, hoping it would be soon.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi WPMU Dev Support,

I am having the same issue, I resolved the date limits issue by using a different date format but having issues in the validation. Even after selecting the date from the range available, the form gives error for not selecting the date from the available range.

Any quick fixes that can be done at my end?

    Kind Regards,
    Akshay
