    This plugin doesn’t control anything about your form, you should direct this question to the Contact Form 7 support forum.

    However I do know that Safari does NOT have a built-in datepicker. The solution is usually to add a placeholder or help text that describes the required format, which is YYYY-MM-DD. Otherwise you can add a plugin that adds a custom datepicker, like Material Design for Contact Form 7.
