Problem with customizing a Theme

Hi,

I decided to make a portfolio page for my works, but i decided to customize the projects page’s php template to my demands:

– this is how the original projects template looks like:

So the point is to place the information bar to the top and put the pictures to the center horizontaly, but the problem is that the right white empty space is longer that the left side with around 60px, so the pictures are not perfecly aligned to the center.
