I encountered a problem recently with my site and now that I have deactivated your SEO plugin it has gone away.

I have a custom plugin which uses a custom shortcode to insert a map on web pages and I found that when SEO was activated my plugin handler code for the shortcode was getting called twice for each embedded shortcode, but this was happening only on some pages.

I think that this is related to the latest SEO version 3.2.1, which was installed on 2 August, as I reckon it would have been noticed earlier if it were a problem associated with a previous version.

Also when I deactivated SEO it mucked up my main menu, and I had to rebuild it, which I wasn’t overly pleased about.

My version of wordpress is 5.2.2 and I’m running PHP7.2.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This is a known bug, and we’re currently working on 3.2.2 which should fix it. The bug is with our methodology in auto-generating the schema.org description from the page content when the content has shortcodes.

In the meantime, you should be able to “fix” it by either disabling the new schema.org functionality in the settings page (and then re-endable it once you’ve updated to 3.2.2)

    or

manually enter a meta description for the affected page(s)

Ok, thanks for the confirmation Michael. I couldn’t understand why it was working on some pages but not on others, so your statement about the meta description explains that.

@robbiejackson We’ve just released All in One SEO Pack 3.2.2. Please make sure you’ve enabled the schema.org option on the AIOSEOP settings page and let us know if it fixes this issue.

I’ve installed version 3.2.4 (I didn’t get round to installing the earlier ones) and can confirm that this problem is now fixed.

    Thanks Michael!
