problem with csv import

    Hello,
    I tried to use the Import feature, but didn’t work.
    I followed the guide here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/
    I tried exporting some products, opened the file in Excel then edited data according to my needs, saved my CSV then imported it: It did not let me map the fields and all I have obtained are a list of blank products.
    I don’t know why it happened; I also tried this plugin, but had the same mapping problem and the plugin failed to create even that blank product.
    Could you help me to figure out the issue?

    I understand this can be annoying.

    From your description, it looks like the problem is happening with the CSV format. If your CSV format is not correct then you get this problem where you are unable to map the columns.

    Use this sample CSV format and make sure your CSV is saved properly with correct extension.

    If the saved format is not correct then it will not be recognized by any plugins.

    I’ll try that out, my CSV has the correct extension, that’s why I don’t understand.
    Question: is it mandatory to have all the columns in the csv file?

    It is not mandatory to have all columns in the file. However, depending on what you are trying to import there are different columns that are required.

    You can find a detailed guideline for the CSV here – Product CSV Import Schema

    From a quick overview, these columns are required for simple products –

    tax:product_type
post_title
regular_price
