Problem with CSS

Hi

I am having some problems with the CSS. actually i’m not a coder so i know nothing about it. thing is the author box reloaded created an author box with a white background. now my theme’s fonts are also white so nothing shows.. i wanted to know if there was a way to maybe highlight all the text in the author box, along with the heading ‘about the author’ above?

secondly, the social icons are not at all as in the screen shots and they don’t even align one after the other in a row, they keep adding up column wise, (small dirty looking icons actually), thus increasing the length of the box.
