Problem with Child theme

  • Hello,
    I have followed all the instructions to create a child theme for twentytwelve. but it just doesn’t display my site with the correct format when I activate the child theme. it just looks like a simple basic formatted site. the parent theme styles have not been kept. I really have tried all the help online and same story. any ideas?
