Please I need help with this.

In the check out page, I can’t remove the “Deliver to a different address?” checkbox.
I tryed in woocommerce general settings but nothing worked.

The problem is that even if this checkbox is not setted as required, the customer can’t continue with the payment without putting another time the address in the “different address” checkbox.

If you can tell me how to remove is, this will be wonderful.

If I can’t remove it, I would rather prefer if you can tell me how can I display all the menu of the checkbox, so the customer will be able to understand that he/she needs to fill in that column too.
Now, if you don’t click on the checkbox, you can’t understand that under the check box you have all the fields to fill in, because the checkbox is more like a dropdown menu.

As this page is setted now, the checkout is made to force customers to abandon the purchase.

If you can help me please.

    Thank you

    Hey there!

You need that option of “ship to a different address” – for example, if the customer has a different billing address on their credit card than where they want their order shipped to. I’d strongly recommend not taking it away all together.

With that being said, here are some options to make sure it’s checked by default or that it’s hidden:

Thank You Hannah, I tried the to add javascript code as explained in the tutorial, but it doesn’t work. I mean: with woocommerce options I already did that the tick box were disabled by default, the problem is that even so, the customer can’t go on with payment because the page continue to give the error that the address is not written.

So I really don’t want to remove the shipping address, I’m just asking for a way to fix the problem:

no matter if the checkbox is enabled or disabled, the page doesn’t allow the customer to pay until all the shipping fields are filled in.
But a normal customer can’t see where the fields to fill in are, because the checkbox hides a dropdown menu, and it’s not clear to see it at all!!!

The real problem is the dropdown menu of that checkbox.

Is there a way to display by default all the fields for the shipping address, without having to click on “Ship to a Different Address?”.

    Thank you

and after all, there is a bug. In the woocommerce settings – shipping options, I had enabled the “Force shipping to the customer billing address”.

So, in principle the thing should be solved: in the check out page, the “Ship to a Different Address?” checkbox disappeared completely.

Even so: THE CHECKOUT PAGE CONTINUES TO GIVE THE ERROR about the shipping fields and you can’t go on with the payment, and now there is no way to fill the shipping fields (hidden or not) because no shipping fields are displayed for the “Force shipping to the customer billing address” enabled option.

The customers are forced to abandon the check out. It’s a serious problem. Please help

I’ve just found a way to display all the hidden menu of the “Ship to a Different Address?” checkbox: it is: woocommerce settings – shipping options – default to customer shipping address.

But anyway, I think that developers can improve how this page normally works.

Thank you anyway. I don’t put the solved label because I would like that someone pick up that issue.

    Have a nice day.

    Hey there!

    I’m glad you found it!

This is unlikely to be a bug: I can’t replicate this same behavior on my site. However, if you do want to pass it on to the developers, you should create an issue on Github:
    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues

Please do add the link here so that others who find your thread can also find the created issue!

Forums are a terrible place for bug tracking, especially an immensely busy one like WooCommerce. Once you’ve added the issue on Github, we can mark this thread resolved as we can’t do anything else to help from the forums.

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Kind regards,
