Problem with center align

I recently updated the theme after a long time (did not want to lose my manual changes/translations) and after the update I am having strange problems with image alignment. All of my center aligned images started appearing aligned to the left although in the editor they appear in the center. There is one manual way to add a caption as the captioned ones appear in center correctly. What can be the cause and how to fix this?
