• I’m hoping someone can help me out.

I run a website with multiple Podcasts on it. Each is given its own category, its own RSS feed, etc. So for the purposes of displaying information on the Podcast in its Archive Page, I installed “Category Page”. It’s a nice plugin that allows you to attach a page to a category, so that whenever the category archive is displayed, it first displays the page associated with that category.

So, that’s all great. Fantastic plugin. However, it doesn’t get along too well with podpress. Why not? Well, it insists on attaching the podcast player for the latest post to the page, rather than the post that it should be attached to. To clarify this, I’ve included a screenshot:

Any clues on why this may be happening? WordPress 2.7, podpress 8.8 (With post revisions patch), Category Page 2.5

Surely there is someone active in one of these two plugins that could help.

I’m sorry, I’m the only one coder for this and other plugins, and I did not have the time to follow and update plugins in the last months. Unfortunately, seems that no one was willing to help or provide a patch.

This said, category page needs a quite complete rewrite, and it’s on my priority list, but I can’t define a timespan for that, actually. I’m really sorry for this.

Btw, if someone is willing to help with this plugin, feel free to let me know.

I think I understand the problem now: the page used as category intro shoud not be parsed by podpress, but this is probably happening. I just need to check both plugins’ filters and figure out a workaround.
