Problem with category filter

I have created a slider and specified that only events should be shown. Unfortunately, recurrent events are also shown.
Since some recurring events occur weekly, they overwhelm the unique events.Could you please look into this, because I think this shouldn’t be happening. Recurring events is another option in the category list and since I didn’t choose that category, I should not be seeing those events at all.
I’m using events manager (v.5.6.4) to create my events (+latest Pro version 2.4.4.2).
