    Hi,
I set up All In One WP Security & Firewall in 3 of websites I manage: for 1 it has a problem, because the ‘changed url login page’ doesn’t work. I inactivated the plugin and reset the htaccess and then activated the plugin, but doesn’t redirect the url and I see the same issue:

Your WordPress login page URL has been renamed.

    Your current login URL is:

    (…)

NOTE: If you already had the Cookie-Based Brute Force Prevention feature active, the plugin has automatically deactivated it because only one of these features can be active at any one time.

    —–

This feature can lock you out of admin if it doesn’t work correctly on your site. You must read this message before activating this feature.

NOTE: If you are hosting your site on WPEngine or a provider which performs server caching, you will need to ask the host support people to NOT cache your renamed login page.

    Regards

Hi, just to confirm with you. Did you also disabled the Brute Force feature for this site in question?

    Thank you

Hi, If I try to use this filed of admin (or wp-admin) it write: Not available.

So, I have to inactivate via Ftp the plugins and I can enter only after this step every occasional on dashboard. In addition, it redirects the new URL (which I set) to wp-admin.

The Brute Force setting is retained (which does not work), but the above error message can be read.

Hi, I think it might be best that you reset the plugin and start again from scratch. Please check the following documentation how-to-reset-aiowps-plugin to learn more.

Let me know how you go.

    Thank you

    Hi,

but the settings wasn’t reset, remain the previous settings.

Which settings are you referring too? Because when you deactivate the plugin and activate it again, a messages appears asking you if you want to reinsert the previous settings. This is when you say no. The following is the message that shows up.

Would you like All In One WP Security & Firewall to re-insert the security rules in your .htaccess file which were cleared when you deactivated the plugin?

    Thank you

    Hi, again

Which settings are you referring too?

The settings which you can use it on the dashboard by plugin (left sidebar).

Because when you deactivate the plugin and activate it again, a messages appears asking you if you want to reinsert the previous settings.

    Yes, this message:

’Would you like All In One WP Security & Firewall to re-insert the security rules in your .htaccess file which were cleared when you deactivated the plugin?’

I chosen: ‘no’, but despite this the settings remain the old one (except for example firewall settings, because I reset the htaccess file).

So, I deactivated, deleted the plugin and install the new one, and activated it, just every settings remain the old one.

The following is the message that shows up.

I sent You all message which is shows up (besides the upper) and I followed it and made a new htaccess, which consist only this:

    # BEGIN WordPress

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

    # END WordPress

before I wrotte for You in this topic.

    Thank You!

Hi, it looks like this is causing more issues than expected. I think it is best that you also remove all entries from the database as you suggested above. This should remove all traces of our plugin from your site, including your database.

Then you can install a fresh new copy.

Let me know how you go.

    Thank you
