problem with Blog section and mb_substr PHP func

    Hi,
    I got a problem when trying to diplay 6 post in a blog section. It seems that comes from the mb_substr in function accesspress_letter_count defined in accesspress-functions.php.This function can return less than required limit in the case where “.” caracters are present as example.

    Can someone help to replace this function to get the exact number of caracters ?

    The Article I consider contains this text :
    “L’année prochaine rejoignez M.C.S sur le salon des jeunes créateurs d’entreprise le JjRCE35 … Puis en Février venez pour la conférence sur les entrepreneurs. Et participez à nos ateliers annuels les plus reconnus.”

    And the printed text in the blog block is the following :
    “L’année prochaine rejoignez M.C.S sur le salon des jeunes créateurs d’entreprise le JjRCE35 … Puis en Février venez pour la conférence sur les entrepreneurs. Et participez à nos ate…”

    This last string is 186 caracters and not 200.

    Another article :
    “3 Nouvelles entreprises ont été financées en Décembre. Bretagne Sopital reste dans une dynamique de croissance en terme de financement. les nouvelles entreprises sont Capital Invest de Rannes, Finances et compagnie et Risque et Création .”

    is correctly printed with 200 caracters :
    “3 Nouvelles entreprises ont été financées en Décembre. Bretagne Sopital reste dans une dynamique de croissance en terme de financement. les nouvelles entreprises sont Capital Invest de Rannes, Finance…”

    The consequence is one block is shorter than the others and blocks are not aligned.

    This is the site : default is visible on following articles “Entreprises Financées” and “Agenda”. You can see number of lines are different and thus articles are not aligned.
