Problem with backslash \ in Mathjax when using Postie plugin
-
I have a local installation of wordpress and installed the plugin postie to post by email. I use mathjax by the instructions given in https://tex.stackexchange.com/a/27656/. I send plain text email. When I send the latex formula $\int_a^b$, by email the backslash \ is not getting sent and instead the formula $int_a^b$ is sent, hence the formula is shown incorrectly.
I should add that when I put $\\int_a^b$, I get the desired result. It seems that Postie eats one backslash during the transmission of the email to the post.
I would like that Postie sends just $\int_a^b$.In there a way to fix this problem?
