    Hi,

I’d just like to point out an issue regarding special characters. Please excuse my lack of typographic vocabulary in English.

If an answer contains a “straight apostrophe”, as the default output for French keyboards for the 4 key ( ‘ ), said answer will be neglected when selected by the user, marking the Question as failed, as if no answer has been selected.
To avoid this behavior, only “curved apostrophes” ( ’ ) should be used in answers.

This has been very confusing, as the French keyboard output ‘ by default, and not ’ , therefore messing up all the quizzes. I think you should look for a way to avoid this issue, as it can be hard to diagnose the cause of the problem, and many potential users might end up switching plugins if they can not rely on your quiz system.

    Hello, @seccyeth

We tested this case with the latest plugin version on our testing environment by changing the site language to French and adding the ( ‘ ) sign to quiz correct answers. This issue was not detected on the testing website – https://joxi.ru/5mdlqKLTqNMDlm.

Please make sure that the Masterstudy LMS plugin is up to date and that there are no conflicts with other of your extra plugins by deactivating those on your site.

If we misinterpreted your request, please let us know

    Best regards

    Hi,

There has indeed been a misunderstanding. The issue is not related to the website language, but more like to the default output of the French keyboard, which is '.

For example, if I type “je m’appelle” or “je t’aime”, you can see that the apostrophe comes out as '. This symbol, when in the selected answer, invalidates said answer, whereas the symbol you used in your test environment , does not. So, for language learning, this can be an issue, as it was on my website.

Please, try again by copy-pasting this ' and let me know if you can replicate the issue.

    Hello @seccyeth,

I ?copy-pasted this?' to the several answers (Screenshot) and completed the quiz. The Quiz results are correct (Screenshot).

    Regards
