problem with alt image text

  • When I upload pictures to my blog, I specify alt image text for every picture. Once my pictures are posted, however, the name of the image file is being used as the alt image text. I’ve tried swapping out themes to see if it’s a theme problem, but it does the same thing on each theme. What am I doing wrong?

    Bump, because I still can’t figure it out.

    Are you trying to use the alt tags for optimization purposes? If so, start naming your images using keywords so that both the image and the alt tag will match and you’ll be optimizing your images for the search engines.
