• When you edit using the advanced masonry type gallery shows a certain order depending on the heights of each individual photo..

However for some reason when you publish the order is not exactly the same. There must be something different about the spacings I’m not really sure why

But it means you can’t really edit and expect it to show up in the same order Meaning you have to publish and load the real site each time.

    Hi there!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

This is the expected behavior for the time being as the Masonry layout uses a Javascript plugin that doesn’t work in Gutenberg on the normal editor/preview.

Once Gutenberg uses an iframe editor, we can use the masonry script inside the editor again and the order of the images will be the same in the editor and actual page (frontend).

This should be fixed in the upcoming version of WordPress (likely, version 6.3).

I hope this gave you information about the behavior. Please let us know if we can help you further with this.

    Regards,
    Karla

it would also be good to have a way of moving it in the Builder rather than just left and right

Because of the way it is ordered pressing left and right does not move the photo to the place you’d expect

A way to drag and drop might be better
