Problem with Admired and WordPress 4.5 – page formatting wrong

  • I “upgraded” to WordPress 4.5 yesterday, and since then there have been problems on my website, which is using the Admired theme and which has not had any problems with it over the past 3+ years. Specifically, now every time I open a posting or a page on the site, the formatting is incorrect, as you can see in the examples here: https://dialogosmedia.org/?p=6190 and here: https://dialogosmedia.org/?page_id=15. The title/header is all wrong, some things (date, edit button when I am logged in) are out of place, and all of this is forcing the sidebar on the right-hand side to actually appear below the main text of the page.

    I tried getting support for this through my hosting company and they ended up almost destroying my website instead, and clearly don’t want to be bothered (or are unable to help and don’t want to say so). I’m not an “expert” and I have no idea how to get this working properly again. Is the theme still supported? Could somebody please help me? I really do not want to be forced to migrate to a new theme.

  • I actually have the same challenge myself. I’d share it, but it’s an adult client so it’s nsfw… but still.. same exact thing is going on here. I scanned the CSS, but I have no clue what to look for, for something like this. I would love to know what needs to be fixed, it’s costing a lot of leads for my client, thusly effecting my pay check too. I will eventually have to hire a CSS person, but hopefully I can get my answers here first, if possible!

    Hi fellow members i have also experienced the same problem with this current version 4.5 since it updated itself 3days ago i have lost alot interms of clients and payment. i would prefer my previous version 4.4.2…as we speak am having white screens on all my websites and when i disable plugins my websites come back but the key plugins i was using they can’t be activated again.When i try to activate again i receive white screens on all of them.I don’t know why this latest version is not working with my plugins.I would love if anyone here assist me on how i will return my wordpress to the previous version 4.4.2 without affecting anything from my websites.with the previous version in place i will be in a good state but for now with this new plugin am in big trouble.Kindly help.

    I just turned off automated updates then reloaded a backup version of my site until this either gets dealt with or we all pool together some cash for the fix on codeable.io or something… My sites cool now, that’s what I did, but eventually it will need to be fixed so as to avoid security risks in the future.

    My blog appears as it should on the home page (https://linkmeister.com/dodgers/), but once a comment is added to an individual post the column text appears as centered rather than left-justified and the right sidebar floats down to the bottom of the center column (https://linkmeister.com/dodgers/2016/04/game-12-2016/#disqus_thread).

    I’m using the Admired theme with Disqus comments.
