    Hi WooCommerce Community,

I’m experiencing a critical error on my website, hosted on OpenLiteSpeed, which is preventing me from accessing my site. The error message indicates that there’s been a critical error and instructs me to check my site admin email inbox for instructions, but I’ve found more detailed information about the issue in the OpenLiteSpeed panel.

    The error message is:

I’ve tried reinstalling FTP and generating a new license, but the issue persists. I’d greatly appreciate any help in resolving this critical error.

Can anyone help me identify the root cause of the problem and provide a solution to fix it? I’d be grateful for any guidance or support you can offer.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

  • Hey there, @affordablewrap! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Have you made any changes to the website recently? This could be adding or removing plugins or custom code, updating the theme or plugins, etc.

Are you able to access the FTP via an FTP client like FileZilla?

Can you please run a conflict test to see if any other plugin is causing this issue?
Since you don’t have access to the dashboard, please check this guide on how to deactivate the plugins. Please deactivate them all and reactivate them one by one to see if one in particular triggers the issue.

Can you please confirm which is the WooCommerce version you are using and the PHP version?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

@carolm29, I appreciate the suggestions you provided earlier, but unfortunately, none of them have resolved the issue. My PHP version is 8.1.28.

@carolm29 I’m extremely sorry, but I made a mistake in my original message. When I was trying to save my MaxMind license the critical error happened and I was still able to access my site, sorry for my mistake.

    Hi @affordablewrap,

If I understand you correctly, you tried deactivating all plugins via the shared steps, but still the issue persists? Is that correct?

In this case, I would recommend asking your host to apply a backup if they have any or ask them in regaining access to your site.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi again ,

Thanks for sharing more details on this.

Just to be able to understand the issue even further, are you able to access any server error logs from your end? They might give a clue about what’s causing the critical error.

Also, could you please ensure that your VPS has the recommended server configuration for running WooCommerce. You can find the details here.

Looking forward to assisting you further.

” For info my php ram is set to 350mb and i think thats enough…

    Hi @affordablewrap

The error message you’ve shared indicates a problem with the FTP connection in your WordPress installation. This can be caused by many factors, such as the FTP extension not being enabled in your PHP configuration, a problem with the FTP credentials, or issues with your server configuration.

To resolve the issue, I would recommend reaching out to your hosting provider for further assistance. They may be able to provide more detailed server logs that can help identify the root cause of the problem.

    Hi @affordablewrap

    i have it self hosted…

Are you referring to a self-managed VPS or hosting server? If that’s the case, I recommend reaching out to a server administration expert or the support team of your hosting manager, whether that’s cPanel or another service you’re using.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

@shameemreza I’m referring to a VPS… I set it up myself, but even if it gives a weird error the location now works! Idk why there was this error.

That’s great to hear! Thanks for letting us know the error is no more. We’re happy to help, so please feel free to reach out to us again if you have any other questions.
