• hello

    I have a problem with the edd add to cart button. It works fine for a period like one, two or three days and sometimes for just some hours, and then it stops working and I have just a turning circle, anything happens when you click the button. please take a look at this video to understand more:

    To resolve this problem, I must go to the wp rocket plugin and clear the cache manually, then the add to cart button works again. please see this video that shows how the button works after clearing the cache.

    I have this problem for a long time but it took 3 or 4 days to stop working but now it happens every day that’s why I’m here to find the cause and resolve it with your help.

    I tried many browsers, in incognito, with desktop, mobile… cleared browser cache… the only thing who resolve temporary the problem is to go to wp rocket plugin and clear the cache.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Well, after some more checking, that seems to be the best solution for me too, for now.
    Cart widget still not updating well on homepage though.

    I excluded /wp-content/plugins/easy-digital-downloads/(.*).js but the problem is not resolved.
    anything else to exclude?

    Florian Bansac: did you found a solution?

    AO does not do wildcards, just excluding wp-content/plugins/easy-digital-downloads/ should do the trick.

    Hi @floarchi

    People who click on the button don’t see any result… the product may be added to the cart, but if you don’t see it, it looks like it doesn’t work. And no one would ever buy anything from a website that looks broken.

    If you disable the AJAX then on click of button the page will reload.

    You can set the redirection to cart page also from plugin setting once the product is added to cart. (This is best only for single product selling at a time)

    OR if you do not want to disable the AJAX then you can use custom add to cart link. This is also best only for single product selling at a time.

    Hi,

    After a few days without problems, the ‘add to cart’ button is not working again, even though I have the JS not Autoptimized.

    I deleted the cache and it works again, but it’s definitely not optimal to keep on checking every day and deleting the cache as a temporary bug fix.

    I’m still nowhere near solving the issue after several weeks of trying many different things, the Easy Digital Downloads plugin, which previously worked flawlessly, is now greatly impaired, forcing me to reevaluate options for the future.

    @pratik-jain
    I use the plugin on a site that is part of a WP Multisite install… could this be an additional source of issues?

    @optimizingmatters
    I have tried excluding wp-content/plugins/easy-digital-downloads/ but this was ineffective.

    Florian Bansac: I don’t use WP Multisite and I have the problem.
