  • I’m having the same problem – I tried changing the login page, and then tested it out in another browser before logging out in the browser where I originally made the change just to make sure it was working correctly. I checked in two different browsers and got 404 errors in each. Then I tried disabling all security features and firewall rules from the Settings page and recreating everything from scratch. Still no luck. I’ve had to disable the rename login page functionality altogether in order to access my site (I couldn’t even revert back to what I previously had set up). It would be great to get this sorted as this feature is part of what makes AIOWS so awesome.

    Thanks in advance!

In order to fix an issue I need to be able to reproduce it and at the moment I can’t reproduce the issue you are having – and I have many sites which are running the rename login feature with no problems at all.

Maybe a plugin or theme might be causing a conflict.
Try deactivating all other plugins and using twentyfifteen theme to see if there is any difference. If the problem goes away reactivate each plugin one by one until you find the one which is causing the issue and let us know.

@juanravidal and @mpt1 do you have the following enabled Rename Login Page and Prevent Hotlinks?

If you do can you carry out the following test, go to WordPress Settings -> Permalinks and click on Save Changes button. Let me know if that works for you.

    Thank you

Hi – thanks for investigating ?? I did have both Rename Login Page and Prevent Hotlinks activated. I tried Save Changes on the Permalinks page and then reactivating Rename Login Page, and that worked. But then I wasn’t able to replicate it and get it to work consistently. After my initial attempt that worked, I then tried changing the name to something new and got a 404 error. I then tried saving permalinks again, and still got a 404 error. It was only when I deactivated the Renamed login page, then saved Permalinks, then reactivated Rename Login Page in that sequence that it worked. But then I tried to replicate that and got multiple 404s before I finally got it working again.

Hope that helps. LMK if you need any additional info or if you’d like me to test anything else.

    Thanks for your awesome plugin!

Hi, how are you going with this issue? I have done some more testing. Here is what I have found so far. The problem with this issue is that it only happens in one website.

I reinstalled WordPress 4.4.2. I disabled all plugins and left All In One active. I had Prevent Hotlinks enabled and then I activated Rename Login Page feature. And tested in Firefox and got the same error message. I then re-saved my Permalinks and it works again. This is mind boggling ??

Okay more to add, I think this issue might have to do with the .htaccess file. If you don’t have you permalinks saved, meaning nothing is in the .htaccess file then when you installed All In One and enable the above features, it will not work. That is obvious enough. However I am still further testing this theory.
