• Hello,

I have got a problem when i tried to update the pluggin.
It didnt work for an obscur reason (i dont remember) and now, i cant find it anymore in the list of updates. So i tried to reinstall it and when i do that, I have got this message :
“Le dossier de destination existe déjà. /var/www/vhosts/les-zipperdules.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/

    L’installation de l’extension a échoué.”

In english, it says ; “the destination folder already exists, The installation has failed”

I’m a beginner, and i dont know what to do. And i’m afraid I have lost all the pictures I have uploaded before. And when I connect to filezilla, I can find the folder, which they speak about, but I am not able to find my pictures files. Where are they ??

Is there a solution for this problem ? If yes, many thanks !

    Marc

PS : please excuse me for my english, which is not so good !

Use an ftp program like filezilla to completely delete the folder …/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus and its content

Then, on the plugins screen, install the plugin as if it is a new plugin and acivate it. No further action needed.

You will loose no data or settings, this is completely safe to do.

Your photos are in …/wp-content/uploads/wppa/ and in …/wp-content/uploads/wppa-source/

Thank you for this really quick answer.
    It worked !

2 last questions : is it the same for all the plugins ? can I delete the folders on filezilla and reinstall them without losing my datas ?
And, for Photo Album Plus : where are located the pictures I have uploaded ?

    Thank you again !
