My WP site is installed in a sub-dir, so this will create a 404 error when trying to access the Sitemap.xml file.

Normally the subdir name does not figure in any of my urls, as this is already considered the root – but in order to access the sitemap file I manually have to include the subdir in the url, which should not be neccessary.

Same problem goes with Robots.txt, the plugin cannot modify this.

I tried other similar plugins, including Yoast SEO, which have no problems with the sitemap urls.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, we need details to understand the problem.
Please provide a link to your site, specify WP you are using. Do you use multisite?
Do you use any plugins to work with permalinks?
Please also try to deactivate all the plugins except ours, re-generate the sitemap on the plugin settings page and check if the problem will persist.

Please contact us at our support forum https://support.bestwebsoft.com/ we will answer faster.
