• I am getting this error message when I try to upload images-

Unable to create directory /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/mary-maynard.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

I have read the sticky post several times, my settings in the misc. section are correct there is no / after uploads.

I have successfully uploaded other images and have not changed the files from the original installation of WP.

I have changed the file permissions in the uploads and its sub-directories to 777 – no change

this site is hosted at globat and I’ve had alot of issues off and on even accessing the site

could this be a hosting issue that does not have to do with the file permissions or other points listed in the sticky post?

  • Hi,

Yes, it should be the hosting service provider issue..please ask them to check the ownership of the upload folder and its files is set to your username or other?

If other then it must be set to your username…

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
