    Hello,

I’m having a problem translating the events page slugs. WPML team already confirmed that the settings responsible for this isn’t working properly (compatibility issue). The solution is to create a new page and translate it. How can I recreate the default events page (with search bar, list, day, month options etc.)? Is there a shortcode I can use?

    Hi @tourshop ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We’ve had the URL translation bug between The Events Calendar and WPML. However, it has been recently fixed. Please make sure to update The Events Calendar to its latest version.

Does the issue still exist? If yes, could you be more specific about the issue you are facing?

    Best regards,
    Marta

Hi, it’s strange but it partly fixed itself. My plugins were up to date and strings were properly translated so I’m not sure why it was behaving the way it did or what helped solve the issue. I now have urls to the event pages as I needed (so like /en/events and de/veranstaltungen).

However it raised other concerns. Some of the navigation in the calendar are not working. I get strange links like /en/(/?:wydarzenia|veranstaltungen|events)/month/ when clicking on Month and it doesn’t show monthly view. Similar on the default, Polish site.

On the other hand on German translation I get /de/wydarzenia/monat/ url when clicking on Month.

Even weirder is that when I tried to follow WPML’s instructions to translate “list” and “page” in string translation to fix it, saving permalinks caused some of the plugins to randomly deactivate. And it didn’t fix the linking problem.

    Hi @tourshop

    Thanks for your response.

Just to confirm, does the issue persist if you only activate our plugins, WPML, and a basic theme (e.g. 2020 theme)?

    [see- Testing for conflicts]

Moreover, could you provide the version of the following? This will help me understand and replicate the issue on my end.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • WPML
    • Theme
    • your hosting provider

    @tourshop

Some of our users have reported an issue similar when logged-in, especially if their WP user was set to a different language than the site’s main language.

Would you mind seeing if the issue persists while logged out?
