Problem syncing some products

    Hi. We’re having trouble getting all of our products synced with our Facebook store. We have roughly a dozen (mostly “variable”) products, which all show up in our website’s WooCommerce shop. Approximately the first dozen products that we created synced to our Facebook store properly. The products we created later are not showing up in the Facebook store.

    In the Product edit screen of the products which do not synch, in the “Facebook Product Sync” meta box, none of the Variant IDs have Facebook ID links next to them.

    We’ve read the documents at:

    None of the suggestions there helped.

    We’ve tried many different things already:

    • We made sure that the “Sync and Show” option is checked for all products.
    • We have re-synced all products.
    • We confirmed that these are not being excluded on the WooCommerce > Facebook > Product Sync tab – either by product or category.
    • We have tried “Facebook: Delete Background Sync Jobs”, and also “Regenerate the product attributes lookup table” for the problem products, under WooCommerce Status > Tools.
    • We have disconnected and re-connected from Facebook.
    • We have disabled our cache (WP Optimize cache) and tried re-syncing after that was disabled.

    In the error log for the Facebook for WooCommerce (WooCommerce > Status > Logs), I see errors like these:

    Thank you for reaching out about this. From what I gather, out of the roughly 18 products available at your WooCommerce store, only the first dozen are synced with the Facebook store. Moreover, these products were added to the store before any syncing with the Facebook page ever occurred. Correct?

    As I understand, after all the troubleshooting steps you already have tried, this appears to be a plugin/set up conflict. My suggestion is to go ahead with temporarily deactivating the “Open Graph and Twitter Card Tags: by WPExperts – 3.3.0” plugin. Could you try temporarily deactivating it, along with any server-side, and CDN, caching and see if the issue persists, please?

    Thanks for your help and for these suggestions. I de-activated the ?“Open Graph and Twitter Card Tags: by WPExperts – 3.3.0” plugin. I then (re)synced the products. But no change in the Facebook store. ??

    Next I completely de-activated the WP-Optimize (caching) plugin, instead of just turning off caching in the plugin’s settings. I then tried to sync again. Now the sync keeps stalling (at “53 items remaining”) and won’t complete. I used the “Facebook: Delete Background Sync Jobs” tool under WooCommerce > Status > Tools to stop the stalled sync process, tried the “Background Processing Test” tool (successful) and tried syncing again. It has again stalled at the same point.

    Can you suggest anything else to try? Any other troubleshooting steps?

    I’ve looked at that latest link you suggested. The error notice reported in that thread is different than the error notices that we are getting. ??

    Can you please explain what these above error messages mean:

    [variation ID]: No options for attribute_[attribute name]

    Also, I’ve tried removing all of the variations that showed under that rror grouping, but that didn’t fix the problems either.

    I’ve taken one of the no-show products, and made sure that all of its variations have prices, proper variation image option selected (use parent item image) and checked to be sure everything about it was in order. Then I tried “delete product(s) on Facebook”, clicked OK, and closed the window as directed. I then reopened the product edit screen, and it showed that the product was not synced to Facebook (so far so good). Then I updated the item again. It re-synced, but again no ID numbers after the variations, and still not showing in the facebook store.

    On the plugin Product Sync tab, the syncing spinner is still stuck spinning with [x] items remaining. (that number seems to change after I’ve tried different things; it is now “2 items remaining”. The Sync button and Save Changes buttons are still grayed out.

    What else can I try?? In the error log I’m still seeing error notices like this interspersed with the “OK” messages:

    Hello @hommealone,

    If I understand this correctly, some variation products are not syncing with Facebook.

    When syncing a variation product every variation field needs to have an attribute, in other words, no attribute should be left to “Any Attribute” as shown in the screenshot below (variation #78).

    Good thought, but I checked and each variation has both a specific attribute and a value.

    We’re going to try to completely delete the entire product. Then rebuild it (with a new SKU) and see if the new item syncs. I figure that at least that may give us some more clues. I’ll report back when that’s finished.

    A good idea, that would help greatly with troubleshooting the issue.

    Just to note, a newer version (3.0.10) of the plugin is available, from here. Kindly update to it, while troubleshooting.

    Another odd thing. A few of our products, on the Edit Product page, Facebook tab, have no “Facebook sync” option or dropdown element at all.

    EDIT: nevermind! I forgot that it was located in the variation dropdown in the variation tab for variable products! Sorry.

    Hello @hommealone,

    You can search for the product from Commerce Manager, in the Content ID, you’ll find the product ID which you can match with WooCommerce.

    In my case it’s 609.

    I still haven’t been able to fix this issue.

    Should I try one of these options from the admin WooCommerce > Status > Tools tab:

    Facebook: Reset all products
    This tool will reset Facebook settings for all products on your WooCommerce store.

    Facebook: Delete all products from your Facebook Catalog
    This tool will delete all products from your Facebook Catalog.

    What is the difference? Which should I run? Any ill effects? Will it just reset or delete the products from the FB store and then try to resync them?

    I understand that the error still persists even after checking Saif’s solution above.

    Occasionally, deleting or resetting all products from the Facebook catalog and then letting things sync again is the only way to fix strange issues. This requires a code snippet, which you can read more about here.
