Problem showing newly added properties (only initial ones added are showing)

    Hi Steve,

    My site is almost finished and all nicely styled however, I’ve now found that all new properties added are not being shown with the [properties] shortcode, they only appear in the search page.

    It does show 4 properties added sometime ago but not new ones. They are identical with regards to database fields i.e. there isn’t anything missing from the new properties, they are all ‘on the market’ too.

    I’ve completely uninstalled and installed Property Hive again, also removing any customisations (in my theme directory).

    I’ve tried using 2016/17 bare bones & unchanged WP themes and the Property Hive theme but the results are the same.

    All properties show on the search page (allocated page in settings) but will only show the 4 properties initially added properties anywhere else with the [properties] shortcode.

    In all cases, I’ve never been able to display properties by marketing flags etc, only ever been able to get ‘featured’ and ‘properties’ working (this includes on a bare bones WP install, maybe I have the syntax incorrect??) but the main issue is not showing the new properties at all aside from the search page.

    Any ideas why this is happening or what I should look for?

    – Just to confirm we’re talking about the [properties] shortcode here, and not the [recent_properties] shortcode? The only reason I ask is because you talk about showing new properties, then later you say “only ever been able to get ‘featured’ and ‘properties’ working”.

    The [properties] shortcode will show ordered by price by default (unless you specify otherwise). The [recent_properties] shortcode will show properties in the date they are added.

    If you can confirm the shortcode you’re referring to I’ll investigate. If you have URL and WP access as well that would be a big help (if the site is public). You can email these through to [email protected] if you have them.

    Can you also confirm the properties are being entered manually into WordPress and not imported using the Import add on?
