  • I’ve just updated to 1.2.6.4 and experienced the same issue as the original post. I’ve just taken over admin on this site and have limited understanding of how this UAM plugin works. So I am worried I’ll blow stuff away by clicking on “Reset” or on “Update” especially with the red text warning message saying that this is a one way street with no return.

I’ve read through this post but I can’t see any answer to the original post by @norus that suggests that this problem has been fixed. Yet the post has been flagged as [resolved]. If so, can someone point me to the solution?

At the moment, every time I access the UAM menu items I get a message at the top of the page asking me to

Please update the database of the User Access Manager. Click here to proceed

I just want to understand the risks of proceeding before running that update. There is nothing I can find in the WP page for this plugin or other posts that explains what this message means or the risks of running it.

in the meantime, I reversed to 1.2.5.0

Hi I run now WP 4.1.1. and UAM version 1.2.6.6. But since I started this thread the error message stays alive!
“Please update the database of the User Access Manager. Click here to proceed”

    When will this be solved?

I am with the others … this isn’t resolved. I, too, am fearful of updating when it says it will delete all settings and User Groups, etc. What should those of us who are having the problems do?

I’m also having the same issue. Any my site also randomly reverted to a very old version. Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve been wondering if it’s related to the UAM database update issue.

Hi, I did the update an all relations were lost. Now I’m stuck with the norus’ issue in post 28: nothing goes. It’s not possible to add a user to a group, it’s not possible to add a post to a group anymore and so on. Whenever I try to save a the relationship ist lost after the reload.

Do we have a chance to get an update or do we have to look for an alternative?

Hi, you are right, a reply within 24 hpurs ist more than ok. But my question was posted five days ago. Since then I’m waiting for a solution or even a short note.

Again: Do we have a chance to get an update or do we have to look for an alternative?

And: no, the problem is not solved!

    Thx in advance!

    Hi,

I’m sorry that you got an delayed answer but I was for five weeks in the US, visiting my family. And to prepare the trip there was quiet much work to do. I’m not able to reproduce the problem with my tests. So the best would to provide me a database dump.

For all who are scared of updating the database, the update will only change the length of the keys, to provide longer custom role names. But just make a database backup and you are save if something goes wrong.

    Hi there.
I’m running wordpress 4.3.1 and updated the plugin to version 1.2.6.6 (last was 1.2.5.0). Got the warning message
Please update the database of the User Access Manager
    What should I do?
