The plugin (cookie banner) on the desktop device works flawlessly. However, there is a problem with mobile devices. On mobile Chrome browser it works fine. On the mobile Opera browser, the cookie banner is not displayed. I did not check other browsers. I just use these two.

    Hi @vipteam,

We checked the page in both Chrome and Opera in mobile device and we could see the banner without any issues. Refer the screenshots in this link.

Kindly try viewing the banner in incognito window or clear the site cookies from your device browser.

    Hi,

Why did you mark this as resolved? That is far from it. I’m not a beginner.

(1.) After consent, the visitor has the opportunity to click on the link and change their cookie settings. Nothing opens when clicked and it should regardless of the cache. Is that right?

(2.) I have found the cause and it is up to you to solve this in a better and more elegant way. Mobile Opera has the “Ad blocking” option enabled by default. After unchecking this, the cookie banner is now displayed. Ads and cookies should by no means be equated. This is probably a problem with javascript code or …

    Hi @vipteam,

We marked the issue as resolved because we were able to see the banner and the cookie settings links working perfectly fine. As for proof, the screenshots from the site during our testing were included in the link shared above.

Like you mentioned, if the issue is when enabling ad blocker addons, we are truly helpless. Such extensions are designed to handle any type of js and scripts that loads as a popup and as such it won’t differentiate if this is a cookie banner or an ad banner.

Yes, unfortunately. The visitor will not be aware that there is a cookie consent.

However, I have now done the following test. I have enabled ad blocking on the desktop Opera browser. It has no effect on your plugin. The plugin works flawlessly. On the mobile version, the cookie bar is blocked.

Weird but it’s an Opera problem and not yours. You are right.

There is a possibility that it is not just an Opera browser. Users of your plugin should be aware of this problem when they report that the cookie bar is not displayed.

    Regards,
