Problem on checkout (possible bug?)
-
While testing my site I noticed an odd problem that occurs if a transaction is cancelled during the checkout process, and the user subsequently returns to the page to try to complete the order.
We do not require purchasers to login and I have reviewed settings under the Settings/Misc tab and they are correct. “Require Login” box is NOT checked; “Show Register/Login?” is set to “none”.
Here is what happens — if a user clicks the submit button and then goes to the payment gateway (PayPal),and then clicks the link to cancel the transaction – and later navigates back to try to complete the transaction, the “checkout” page display a user login form with the text, “To complete this payment, please login to your account. Lost Password?” Refreshing the page does not clear this.
This happens whether or not the user is trying to place an order for the same product or a different one.
This is not expected behavior and I can anticipate that there will be times that users will interrupt and cancel transactions and then retry them. For example, if they change their mind and want to modify the order in their cart. Based on the plugin settings, it should never be showing a login form.
I’ve tested this on Chrome, Edge & Firefox browsers– and the problem persists on all browsers.
Is there a fix for this?
