Hi, thank you for an extraordinary plugin. I really love this. Now I’m using 4.2.0 and there are two issue with publication importing.

First, ‘imported publications’ shown right after I click “import” button but nothing shows in publication list. Downloaded the .bib file at acs publication(Chemical Reviews).

There’s another thing. Like the bibtex file of sciencedirect.com and pubs.rsc.org, which wraps a data with “” (ex. keywords = “Methylviologen”) cannot imported with teachPress. I only can see blank on Title, Author(s), and Year in ‘imported publications’ page.

Tested with .bib and .txt files, and pasting bibtex data to the textfield. It works without any problem when typed at ‘Add New’ page, and exporting to .bib is fine. Only importing is pain.

Waiting for fix ?? Thank you!

    Hi,

Thanks for the bug reports. I’ve tried to fix the problem with data which are enclosed with double quotes in teachPress 4.2.1

I’ve tested also some .bib files from ACS and it works for me. It seems that it’s maybe a problem with php’s max_execution_time?

Problem of .bib files from ACS was not about max_excution_time, since I varied it but it gave no luck.
So installed on another server using XAMPP, then tested and all went OK.
    Thank you for the fix!

There was ‘STRICT_TRANS_TABLES’ variable by default in sql-mode of SQL server system variables. Need to disabling STRICT_TRANS_TABLES because there are some null field in .bib files, and if there are some of ‘blanks’, error occurs while importing data.
