Problem moving between page lists

    Hi,

    I have installed WordPress and have lots of pages within my site.

    When I try to use the next or 1, 2, 3, 4… buttons at the bottom to see the other pages it redirects to the posts page with “No posts found”.

    If I manually add &paged= [number of page] into the address bar of my browser it works. So how do I change WordPress so it always does this? Also using the search facility does the same thing.

    It seems from what you say that you are using the posts navigation to try and get around your pages. Pages and posts are held in the DB with an ‘id’ but work in different ways. I think you will need to use the custom menu option in the dashboard to add a custom navigation menu for linking to pages.

    Hi datasoftict,

    No, I am using pages to try and navigate.

    So in the CMS on the left there is Dashboard, Posts, Media, Links, Pages.

    I click in Pages. I have a lot of pages so I scroll to the bottom and it says “Displaying 1 – 20 of 98” and then “1 2 3 … 5 >>” If I could on one of these buttons from this page I am redirected to the posts page say “no posts”.

    WordPress is not showing the next page of Pages.

    Arrgghh!! Keyboard keeps missing keys sorry.

    keyboards have a life of their own, especially that trick of using enter when hovering over a send button.

    Sorry, It wasn’t clear where the problem was, so you can’t do pagination in pages. What theme are you using? Have you ever been been able to paginate through the multiple page?

    Tell me about it! To be honest I think it’s IE that is causing my keyboard problem as Chrome is ok (using now!)

    I’m using a Theme called Webby-Green.

    Pardon my newbieness, but I’m quite confident with PHP, but wouldn’t know where to start finding the code that displays buttons I’m talking about.

    Do you know where this would be?

    The day I stop being a newbie at something is the day I retire….

    Try hunting around wp-include/edit.php look for type = page and also in the same dir edit_post_rows.php. There are a few places that have pagegination code.
