Good morning, when I try to install the plugin Nextgen Gallery, the installation is successful and I get the following error: Can not copy the file nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_addgallery_page/static/plupload-2.1.1/jquery.plupload.queue/jquery.plupload.queue.min.js Obviously, the installation is not successful, how do I fix?

@oliver39 – If you are installing NextGEN Gallery when you previously had it installed then it may not have been correctly uninstalled in the past. If you are trying to update NextGEN Gallery and getting this error it will still be very similar in its case … the plugin was not properly uninstalled.

This is often due to the WordPress Plugin install/uninstall/update routine getting a hiccup of sorts. The easiest method to work-around this is to use an FTP client and remove the NextGEN Gallery folder (../wp-content/plguins/nextgen-gallery/) and all of its contents from your site then install NextGEN Gallery via the Plugins > Add New interface.

    Thanks!

The plugin has never been installed because I am trying to install on a newly created website, via ftp the nextgen-gallery folder does not exist. How can I fix the problem?

@oliver39 – I cannot think of a reason to see that error message unless the file already exists … given you have indicated it does not, have you tried manually uploading the files to install the plugin?
