Problem Installing BitNami to Build Child Theme

  • A real green newbie here…
    I’m taking the first steps in building a Child Theme. I’ve downloaded BitNami and all set to go but I can I can’t seem to open the BitNami file. When I click “launch BitNami WordPress Stack” from the program menu on my computer, it opens a IE screen but never loads (just the spinning ball). Also, there’s no desktop icon. Obviously I’ve missed a step? Did I not fully unpack the file?

    Here’s what I have under my “start” menu on my computer:
    All Programs
    BitNami WordPress Stack
    BitNami website
    Download Add-ons
    Launch BitNami WordPress Stack
    Manager Tool
    Uninstall BitNami WordPress Stack
    Use BitNami WordPress Stack
    (new folder) BitNami WordPress Stack Service
