Problem in starting new site with multisite concept.

  • I have made a e-commerce website in wordpress and now I want to make another website completely different form my previous site. Now instead of installing wordpress again and again I want to work with multisite concept. I have setup multisite but problem is when I create a new site and click on “visite site” it shows an error message. Message is “Not Found The requested URL /mysite was not found on this server.“, mysite is site name and I am working in localhost. Now anybody can help me, I am a beginner in wordpress I have searched all over but everywhere it demonstrated with some domain name but not with localhost. Plaese help me If you can.

    What’s in your .htaccess?

    I have Windows based configuration so I didn’t changed the .htaccess file. I only replaced the code of wp-config.php file with the code given in the first text box of network setup. By the way it says:

    Dear User,

    Your new SITE_NAME site has been successfully set up at:
    BLOG_URL

    You can log in to the administrator account with the following information:
    Username: USERNAME
    Password: PASSWORD
    Log in here: BLOG_URLwp-login.php

    We hope you enjoy your new site. Thanks!

    can you please tell me now how I can go to the dashboard of my newly created site and visit it?
