• Hi, i have a multisite site network and i use Client Dash for setting custom menu for users, but when i have to clone a site, i found a lot of error.

Well, i tried to delete the new cloned one, disable client dash and clone another one without client dash activated. The new site it’s ok but when i activate client dash i found this error in homepage:

Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /web/htdocs/www.sanmarinoannunci.com/home/sma2015/wp-content/plugins/client-dash/client-dash.php on line 800

how i can fix? it’s very important for me, because the plugin it’s amazing but this problem is very annoying.

    thank you in advance
    Best regards
    Rob

    Hey there,

Sorry for this issue. Can you please tell me exactly how you are cloning the website? Are you using a plugin?

    Hi Joel,

yes, i’m using the plugin called “MultiSite Clone Duplicator”

When i do a clone, simply i select a website to clone, insert a name and url and press “clone”, but it appears a error code at the top of backend ??

    Best regards

Thanks for the information! I will be running some tests and then I’ll get back to you, hopefully with answers!

Could you please download this update and install it to see if it fixes the problem? You can either use FTP to copy the files or you will need to uninstall, then re-install the plugin using this new version.

thank you Joel, i will try.

It’s a custom release. If it solves your problem then it will be incorporated into the next official release.

I have tried the custom version into the last cloned sites but didnt work and i see the same error “Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /web/htdocs/www.mywebsite.com/home/wp-content/plugins/client-dash/client-dash.php on line 800

anyway, the others sites of my network are working fine. I can try to recreate the cloned site to check if solve this issue with new custom version.

Okay, try this new version: https://d.pr/f/y9m4

Install this new version, and then visit this page (of course replace yourwebsite with the address of your website) https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/index.php?debug

Not the ?debug at the end. This is important. This will cause more information to appear above the fatal error. Please take note of this information and post it here. Thanks!

    Try this new version: https://d.pr/f/y9m4

Install the new version, then visit (with yourwebsite.com replaced with the website that is producing the error) https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/index.php?debug and there should be extra information above the “Fatal error”. Please copy that information and post it here. Thanks!

Thanks that is very helpful! It appears as though the data became corrupt during the migration. I’ve added a utility that will hopefully fix this for you.

Please install this new version: https://d.pr/f/RzW5

Install the new version, then visit (with yourwebsite.com replaced with the website that is producing the error) https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/index.php?cd_reset_content_sections_roles

NOTE: Doing this will erase all customizations that are set under the “Display” tab in Client Dash Settings, that is the role customization for various Client Dash pages. But this data is corrupt and will have to be reset for the website in question.

Please let me know if this fixes your issue and I will incorporate this new utility in the next version of the plugin.
