• I see a problem in Draw Attention.
I set an image with “Go to URL” areas and I put the shortcode in a post, for example.
When I see it in touch screen mobiles, imagine I dont want to enter in the areas of the image. What I want is to see what is under the image. For this, I scroll using my finger.
But when scrolling, if I press the area, it takes me to the url. I think the good behaviour is that when scrolling with my finger, it should not takes me to the url, because it is no my intention. This is the behaviour of the normal links.

I put an example in the web test, with an image with Draw Attention and with a link below, to see the difference during scrolling.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi Fernando, thanks for all the information and test environment. We will take a look, although I know there was a lot of issued with browser compatibility and touch events (tap, scroll, tap press down, tap release up, etc.) Basically the image wasn’t reacting at all on some devices, so we may have had to make the reaction more aggressive. But on an image with lots of hotspots, using the URL action, it can be problematic as you describe. We will take a look but there might not be a solution that avoids breaking it altogether on other mobile phones/devices

    Thanks,
    Nathan

Hello. I am having a similar issue and would appreciate any suggestions or input. We have large hotspot areas on map images. They work excellent on desktops, but when our customers are viewing them on mobile devices the areas open when they’re trying to scroll or zoom. Is there any way to make it so the areas only open on desktops? Or a way to require a different kind of “touch” for them to open on mobile so it’s not happening during scroll/zoom? You can see an example of one of these images here: https://www.tompkinsland.com/?da_image=rokes-bend-phase-2.

    Thank you,

    Sedel

@ferchup and @tompkinsland: Just a quick note to let you know that with the 1.6.12 release, we’ve added some fixes for mobile scrolling that should make the experience much better.
